BENTHOZ-2015 has been published as an open data set with the Scientific Data journal of the Nature Publishing Group. Scientific Data is an open-access, peer-reviewed publication for descriptions of scientifically valuable datasets. The data descriptor that documents details and methods used to collect the data can be found here, with instructions for citation (also shown below). BENTHOZ-2015 is comprised of over 400,000 point labels from four Australian research groups mapped to more than 100 classes on the CATAMI classification scheme. The intention is to provide a standard data set for research in robotics, computer vision, and marine science. The data set is released under a creative commons license, with the intention of providing the raw data to researchers to maximise reuse.
BENTHOZ-2015 data from each AUV campaign can be explored visually using the links below. A summary of point scores per image in the standard Squidle format as well as a list of images is also available below. The raw point scores can be downloaded as a csv file on the scientific data page. In order to download the images for the entire data set for offline use, download an image list and use the image downloader tool provided below. Please use Google Chrome when viewing this website.
